What to Expect

Whether it’s your first time seeing a therapist or just your first time meeting with me, I want to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I provide a compassionate and grounded approach to help you work through stressful life transitions and improve your relationships.

The foundations of my working relationships with clients are as follows:

Compassion

It is my sincere and heartfelt desire to help those who suffering and dealing with emotional pain. I am motivated to respond with a compassion focused approach to my clients suffering in an effort to help them find peace, love, and acceptance of themselves and others.

Safety

I want you to feel safe and comfortable in my office and in your work with me as your therapist. It is my intention to cultivate a climate of curiosity, care, non-judgment, acceptance. The work we do is held carefully between us and together we lay the groundwork with mutual respect and mutual commitment.

Presence

When you step into my office, I want to offer my complete attention and presence. I bring my whole self to the therapeutic encounter- physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually. I listen deeply, working to fully understand the client in the moment.

Curiosity

Together, we will become curious about your inner dialogue. While it can be scary to explore some of your difficult emotional experiences past or present, we will gently and nonjudgmentally engage the material with curiosity and care.
